My Hero Academia will be heading back to the big screen, and now it has an official title and release date. As revealed during the Hero FES event, My Hero Academia THE MOVIE: Heroes Rising opens in Japan on December 20.

Horikoshi Kouhei said that this latest installment may be the final theatrical outing for the franchise, neatly bringing the animated saga to a close as Deku and the rest of Class 1-A vow to carry on All Might’s mission and face off against the villainous Nine, the movie uses some of the material he had planned for the final battle of the original.
