Star Ocean First Departure R Released for PS4 and Nintendo Switch

Square Enix announced on Tuesday that it will release Star Ocean First Departure R. Meanwhile an HD port with new features of its Star Ocean First Departure remake game.

As well as in the west and in Japan on December 5. And also the game will launch digitally for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

The enhanced HD port will have the original Japanese and English voice casts from the game’s PlayStation Portable version. As well as it will also feature a newly recorded version.

And also featuring the voice cast from the original Super Famicom version in Japanese. Besides which was previously released in Japan only.

Additionally, players can choose between the original character illustrations from Star Ocean First Departure or new character. And also illustrations drawn by Katsumi Enami.

As well as the port will also have a speed mode and adjusted game balance. Besides pre-orders for the PS4 version, include a commemorative PS4 theme.

Moreover Enix released the first Star Ocean game for the Super Famicom in 1996. And also then Square Enix released Star Ocean First Departure as a remake on the PlayStation Portable in 2007. Likewise tri-Ace developed both games.

And also Enami (original character designer for Baccano!, Restaurant to Another World franchises) is serving as character illustrator.

Besides the company revealed the character illustrations for (from left to right) Roddick Farrence, Millie Chliette, and Dorne Murtough.
